A 拢23,000 excavator has been stolen from a roadside in Northamptonshire.
Police believe the five-tonne digger was parked beside the A509 Wollaston bypass when it was loaded on a white lorry some time between 17:30 GMT on Friday and 08:00 on Sunday.
A spokesperson said the theft would have caused "slight traffic disruption as it was removed".
Northamptonshire Police said the lorry was driven off towards Wellingborough.
It asked for any witnesses to come forward and appealed for anyone who has seen a digger for sale in "unusual circumstances".
