Eastwood: Pedestrian, 87, seriously injured in crash

An 87-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car in a Nottinghamshire town.
The crash happened at the junction of Derby Road and Woodside Road in Eastwood at about 16:30 GMT on Thursday, Nottinghamshire Police said.
The woman was taken to hospital with leg injuries requiring multiple operations.
The 31-year-old female driver of the car is assisting officers with their inquiries, the force added.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
