A 72-year-old man has died in a fire at a flat in Nottinghamshire, the fire service has said.
Firefighters were alerted by a lifeline system at the property in Aspley Road in Sutton in Ashfield shortly after 19:00 GMT on Monday.
They went to the flat and found the man unresponsive in a room that was filled with smoke.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the fire service said, but the cause of the blaze was yet to be established.
