Six children arrested as knives recovered in Bulwell
- Published
Six children have been arrested after police got calls about a group brandishing knives in a park.
Members of the public alerted officers to the group close to Bulwell Bogs park in Main Street just after 16:00 BST on Saturday.
Six people, aged between 12 and 14, were arrested shortly afterwards, and Nottinghamshire Police said two weapons were also recovered.
Det Insp Julian Eminson-Ferry appealed for information.
He added: "This would have been alarming for members of the public to see and hopefully our quick response and six arrests will offer them reassurance on how seriously we take all reports of knife crime."
