Man arrested after A420 crash near Shrivenham leaves woman injured
A 25-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after the car she was a passenger in crashed on New Year's Eve.
The black VW Golf left the road about 22:00 GMT on the A420 at Watchfield, near Shrivenham, and crashed into trees before ending up in the middle of the road on its roof.
A 23-year-old man from Kidlington has been arrested and remains in custody.
The woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Det Con Nigel Doyle, of Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing Unit, said: "I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this collision or who may have dash-cam footage capturing the collision or the moments leading up to it to please get in touch."
The driver is being questioned on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving while unfit through drink and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without insurance.
