Telford and Wrekin school proposals consultation plan
A meeting is taking place later over Telford and Wrekin council's proposals for schools in the area.
In November, the council revealed new plans which it said would see more of the borough's secondary schools rebuilt rather than "just remodelled".
The meeting in Wellington is the last one to be held as part of the first phase of the consultation process.
The council said feedback would be evaluated, a report put to cabinet and then there would be more consultation.
Announcing the proposals in November, the authority said the revised plans for its 拢200m Building Schools for the Future programme took into account issues such as expected future pupil numbers.
Consultation plans
The plans include a new primary and secondary school for Stirchley, plus further education opportunities for teenagers aged 16 and over.
The development would incorporate the existing Grange Park Primary and Lord Silkin schools.
A Christian faith academy would be built in Priorslee for more than 1,000 students and would incorporate the existing Blessed Robert Johnson Catholic College.
In Wellington, a new 1,200 place school would occupy the vacated site of the Blessed Robert Johnson College, to replace the current Charlton School.
Sutherland Business and Enterprise College and Wrockwardine Wood Arts College would be replaced with a new Co-operative Academy.
The first phase of consultation on the proposals began on 21 November and ends on 23 December.
There have been four meetings so far at different schools with the fifth taking place later at Charlton School in Wellington.
The council said feedback would be evaluated then a report would go to the cabinet meeting in January.
It said consultation would then reopen with a final decision expected to be made in the spring.
