Wife charged with murder of ex firefighter in Malaysia
The wife of a former British firefighter has appeared in a Malaysian court charged with his murder.
Samantha Jones, 51, was arrested after husband John, 62, was found stabbed to death at the couple's home on the island of Langkawi.
Murder is punishable with a mandatory sentence of death by hanging.
The couple are believed to have moved to the island 11 years ago under a residency program, which gives foreigners long-stay visas.
The next court hearing is on 29 November.
Mr Jones, 62, was found with a stab wound to the chest on 18 October.
During a brief appearance, Mrs Jones indicated she understood the charge but did not enter a plea.
