Sheffield shooting: Man shot in 'targeted attack'
A man has been shot in the chest in what police described as a targeted attack.
The 21-year-old was left in a critical condition after the shooting in Grimethorpe, Sheffield, on Thursday.
He was found in Grimsethorpe Road at about 14:30 BST and taken to hospital.
Seven men were arrested at the scene but released without charge. South Yorkshire Police is urging anyone with information to come forward and is carrying out more patrols.
Det Insp Ben Wood said: "Those officers are there for your reassurance and to support the community following a distressing incident."
