M18: Lorry driver killed in multi-vehicle crash
A lorry driver died in a multi-vehicle crash which closed a section of the M18 in South Yorkshire for 14 hours.
Three HGVs, two cars and a Transit van collided between Bramley in Rotherham and Wadworth in Doncaster at about 17:00 BST on Monday, police said.
The driver of one lorry, a 41-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four drivers in the other vehicles suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital, according to South Yorkshire Police.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Anyone who saw the crash or who has dashcam footage has been asked to contact police.
The northbound stretch of the motorway between junctions one and two was closed to allow police investigations to take place.
It reopened around 07:00 BST on Tuesday, National Highways said.
