Askern crash: Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injury
A pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a car, South Yorkshire Police said.
The man, in his 80s, was struck by a grey Toyota Corolla in Askern at about 17:45 GMT on Wednesday.
Police said the man was taken to hospital following the crash, which happened in Station Road near to the junction with Thompson Terrace.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage is asked to contact police.
