Darnall stabbing: Attempted murder arrest after man badly injured

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 21-year-old man was stabbed "multiple times" in Sheffield, police said.

Emergency services were called to reports of a group of men fighting on Staniforth Road in the Darnall area at around 18:15 BST on Tuesday.

The victim was in a serious condition in hospital, police said, while the arrested man, 28, remained in custody.

South Yorkshire Police appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
