Sheffield robbery suspect sought after woman reports 拢16k theft
Police have made an appeal to trace a suspect after a woman was reportedly robbed of 拢16,000 in cash and jewellery by a man posing as a charity worker.
Officers said the woman gave cash to the man after he approached her on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield on Monday.
He said it was not enough and they went to a cash point where more was handed over, South Yorkshire Police said.
They then went to her home were the man allegedly forcibly removed gold bangles from her wrist before fleeing.
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to, saying: "Officers are keen to identify the man in the image as he may be able to assist with inquiries."
