Alert follows York stone thefts in Surrey
Residents are being urged to be extra vigilant following the theft of York stone from two homes in Surrey.
Surrey Police said York stone paving slabs, worth about 拢500, were taken from the front garden of a property in Thursley overnight on Wednesday.
In a similar incident in Frensham in August nine coping stones, also made of York stone, were taken over a two week period.
The force has urged people to call police if they see anything suspicious.
