Plan to improve sewerage network on Teesside

  • Published

People on Teesside have been invited to find out more about a £5m sewerage upgrade.

Pipes will be replaced and three new pumping stations installed to reduce the amount of storm water getting into the system and causing pollution.

The work is due to start on 31 August and last for 18 months and will lead to road lane closures in the Skinningrove, Loftus and Liverton Mines areas.

Northumbrian Water is holding two information sessions later this week.

These will take place at Liverton Mines Village Hall on Wednesday afternoon, and the Riverside Building in Skinningrove on Thursday evening.
