Thwaites farmhouse fire: Woman killed

A 69-year-old woman's body has been found after a farmhouse fire.
Firefighters were called to the property at Thwaites, near Broughton in Furness, Cumbria, just before 09:00 BST.
A 72-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Det Insp Matt Scott said the cause of the fire was "unexplained" but he believed it was not suspicious. Police and the fire service are investigating.
