The family of Isaac Crofts said he was "adored by all who knew him"

A four-year-old boy hit by a car has died.

Isaac Crofts was knocked down on Grampian Road in Skelton, near Middlesbrough, shortly after 14:00 BST on Saturday.

His family described him as a "beloved grandson, son and nephew" who had a "beautiful smile and was adored by all who knew him".

Cleveland Police described his death as a "tragic incident" and said their thoughts were with his family.

The force added his family was being supported by specially trained officers and in a short statement also thanked members of the public who assisted at the scene.
