Stockton pub fire: Town centre cordoned off after blaze
A town centre had to be cordoned off, after a fire broke out inside a pub on Teesside.
Cleveland Fire Brigade attended the blaze at The Plaza on Stockton's high street just before 10:00 GMT on Wednesday.
A staff member from the venue, who asked not to be named, said she was "absolutely gutted". The venue reopened under new management earlier this year.
It is understood nobody was injured and the blaze was contained to the kitchen.
