Greenhead crash: Car driver killed in A69 collision with HGV
The driver of a car was killed when his vehicle was in collision with a lorry, police have said.
The HGV and car collided on the A69 at Greenhead in Northumberland, at about 08:45 BST on Wednesday.
Northumbria Police said the 41-year-old driver of the car died at the scene.
A spokesman said his family were being supported and an investigation was under way. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
Update: An early version of this story has been updated to reflect incorrect information reported by Northumbria Police, which initially said the driver of the lorry had died.
