Gosforth: Man charged with GBH after woman found with head injuries

A man has been charged after a woman was found seriously injured in Gosforth on Tuesday night.

The 25-year-old has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Northumbria Police received reports of an injured woman in Graham Park Road at 21:00 GMT.

The alleged incident saw a number of roads cordoned off with police tape while officers investigated the scene.
