Newcastle man charged with inciting racial hatred
A Newcastle man has been charged with inciting racial hatred following an investigation by counter-terrorism police.
Nathan Thompson was arrested when officers searched a residential property last July.
The 24-year-old, of Whickham View, has also been charged with making malicious communications.
He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on 4 March.
Counter-Terrorism Police North East said his arrest followed an "intelligence-led operation".
