Man due in court after serious assault in Swindon town centre
A 30-year-old man is to due to appear in court in connection with a serious assault in Swindon town centre.
Wiltshire Police were called to reports of disorder at The Parade at about 15:00 BST on Sunday.
Emergency services attended to treat a man in his 30s for a neck injury.
Lee James Milne, 30, of Whitehead Street, Swindon, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court later.
He has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis.
The injured man remains in hospital in a stable condition, said police.
