Didcot man arrested after police sprayed with 'faeces'
A man has been arrested after apparently spraying police officers with faeces.
The incident happened during a car meet on the Hawksworth Industrial Estate in Swindon on 30 September.
It is alleged he sprayed an unknown substance at officers causing their uniforms to smell of faeces, which meant they needed to be discarded.
The 22-year-old is in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
Supt Guy Elkins of Wiltshire Police said: "We will not hesitate to deal robustly with anyone suspected of such a crime directed at police officers in the course of their duty.
"Such behaviour is entirely unacceptable and we will ensure that such offenders are identified and face the full force of the law."
