Woman trampled by cows at North Yorkshire farm
A woman was seriously injured when she was trampled by a herd of cattle as she walked her dog in North Yorkshire.
The 48-year-old woman suffered broken ribs and a collapsed lung in the incident at the entrance to Dry Close Farm, Redmire, near Leyburn, on Sunday.
A police spokesman said: "She'd managed to drag herself on to a cattle grid to get out of the way of the cows."
She was taken by air ambulance to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough where her condition was described as stable.
