Naked cyclists take to York streets
A group of nude cyclists have ridden around the streets of York as part of an annual event, which started in 2003.
York World Naked Bike Ride organiser John Cossham said one of the reasons they rode naked was to show "our vulnerability on the roads".
The riders followed a six-mile route around the city, starting and ending at the Millennium Bridge.
Participants paused at the city's racecourse to remember cyclists who have been killed or injured in York.
Mr Cossham said: "Our roads are absolutely infested with cars and they're big chunks of metal.
"When there is a collision between a car and a bicycle, whoever's fault it is, the cyclist always comes off worse."
