North Yorkshire Police trace tongue-out photo woman

A woman who was pictured with her tongue sticking out in a distinctive image released by police has been traced.

North Yorkshire Police said the woman had been a potential witness and "not a suspect in any crime".

The force declined to say anything more about the woman or the image for "operational reasons".

It also asked people to remove the image from social media feeds and websites.

The force said: "We have traced the woman whose photo we issued earlier today in our urgent appeal.

"Just to reiterate, she was not wanted, nor a suspect in a crime.

"We have now removed her photo from our timeline and ask that everyone does the same to protect her future privacy."
