Police appeal after driver's windscreen smashed
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for help to trace a man who caused "significant damage" to a car by smashing the vehicle's windscreen.
The incident happened between Sheriff Hutton and Terrington shortly before midnight on 17 November.
The force said a motorist had been overtaken by a grey or silver estate car before it stopped and a man got out and attacked the windscreen.
It is believed the man used a metal bat or pipe.
He is described as white, in his mid 20s, with short brown hair and wearing a blue hooded top.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
