Doncaster house and vehicles damaged in 'targeted' shooting
Multiple shot have been fired at a house and vehicles in Doncaster in what police have called a "targeted attack".
People living in Barnby Dun Road, in Wheatley, reported hearing "popping" sound and a car speeding off at about 00:52 BST on Monday.
South Yorkshire Police said no one was hurt but a property and two vehicles were damaged.
The force has appealed for anyone with information or any CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
Det Insp Claire Moss said: "This is an alarming incident that happened in a residential street when many people were fast asleep
"It is fortunate no one was injured and we are now putting resources into finding the people responsible.
"We are treating this a targeted attack, and we will work relentlessly to bring the offenders of this crime to justice and take dangerous weapons off our streets for good."
