Andor Technology director makes £885,000 with share sale

A director of Belfast-based Andor Technology has made almost £900,000 by selling part of his shareholding in the firm.

Chris Calling runs the company's US operations.

He was granted 175,000 shares at 2p each and sold 160,000 of those at 555p, making £885,000.

Andor, which makes high performance digital cameras for scientific use, is one of Northern Ireland's fastest growing firms.

Last year, the company announced plans to create 166 new jobs at its west Belfast base.

The firm's chief executive, Conor Walsh, has also sold some of his shareholding making about £221,000.
