East Belfast: Four injured in crash involving police car
Four people have been taken to hospital after a police car collided with a white BMW on the Upper Newtownards Road in east Belfast.
It happened in the Rosepark area at about 16:30 BST on Monday.
Police said the driver of its vehicle was responding to an emergency when it collided with the car, which was being driven by a member of the public.
The NI Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) used hydraulic cutting equipmment to remove one of the casualties.
The injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time, according to police.
The Upper Newtownards Road was closed at the junction of Rosepark but has now reopened.
Police said inquiries are now under way to establish what happened and asked anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident to contact them.
