Bangor: Roof in derelict building collapses after fire
The roof, first floor and partial front wall of a derelict property has collapsed after a fire in County Down on Friday afternoon.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called to Prospect Road in Bangor at about 15:45 BST.
A firefighter was also injured after a piece of concrete fell on their foot while opening the door to the property.
It is believed the fire was started deliberately, NIFRS Group Commander Geoff Somerville said.
Six fire appliances and an aerial ladder were used to tackle the blaze at the two-storey, mid-terrace building.
It is understood the building was not in use for some time and was due for demolition.
