Electric Ireland to increase prices in NI by 29%
Electric Ireland is to raise the price of its electricity by 29% for customers in Northern Ireland from 1 October.
It said that would mean a weekly increase of about 拢5.29 on the average residential bill.
The company is Northern Ireland's third largest supplier, with about 104,000 customers.
Bill Coyle from the company said the increase was due to rising wholesale costs.
