An overnight search has taken place in Belfast Lough after reports of a man entering the water from a ferry.

The alarm was raised at about 21:30 BST on Saturday.

On Sunday evening, the coastguard said its rescue teams were no longer involved and it was now a police matter.

Officers had asked the public to avoid the area while the search was taking place.
