Newtownards: Man shot in both legs

A man has been shot in both legs in Newtownards, County Down.

Police said they received a report of the shooting near Glenbrook Road at about 22:25 GMT on Sunday.

They said the victim was shot in the back of each leg by four masked men, who made off on foot in the direction of Ilex Avenue.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. The police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
