A second person has died following a four-vehicle crash in Markethill, County Armagh.

Ciara McElvanna 44, was from the Armagh area. A funeral notice states that she was a married mother of four.

She died at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast on Wednesday, days after the crash in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Patrick Grimley, who was returning home from his 40th birthday party when the crash happened, died at the scene.

Eight other people were taken to hospital after the crash on the Gosford Road at about 01:20 GMT on Saturday.

Two men and one woman are still in hospital.

The police said an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing and asked anyone with information or video footage to contact them.
