Woman grabbed by hair during Newcastle burglary
A woman has been threatened during an aggravated burglary in Newcastle, County Down, police have said.
Two men entered the house in Burrendale Park Close at about 01:45 GMT on Sunday via the front door.
Officers said the woman was in the living room with her teenage daughter and a baby granddaughter who was asleep.
A 33-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody.
Police said one of the men who entered the house wore a balaclava and placed the muzzle of what appeared to be a weapon against the woman's chest.
Officers were told they covered it using a white bag or pillowcase and demanded money.
The woman was then grabbed by the hair and thrown onto the sofa.
No money was taken during the incident and the men are believed to have left in the direction of Dundrum Road.
