Newry: Gang of masked men steal cash during burglary
A gang of masked men, one believed to be carrying a shotgun, have threatened householders during an aggravated burglary in Newry.
Police said three or four men entered a home on the Belfast Road during the early hours of Saturday and ransacked the property.
They stole cash before leaving in the direction of the A1 dual carriageway.
"The residents were uninjured however damage was caused to a window and items of furniture," a police statement said.
The burglary was reported to officers shortly before 01:50 GMT.
They appealed to anyone with information or CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with the investigation, to contact detectives.
