Two men have been charged after drugs worth approximately £1.9m were seized in County Londonderry, the Police Service of Northern Ireland has said.

The seizure followed a "proactive search" in Castledawson by detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch.

The Class A and Class B drugs were discovered during the operation on Thursday afternoon.

The men, aged 25 and 53, have been charged with a number of drug-related offences.

They are charged with with being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, being concerned in the supply of a class B drug, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.

The two men are due to appear at Omagh Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
