Receivers appointed to Herdman's Mill

Ulster Bank has appointed a receiver to the historic Herdman's Mill in Sion Mills.

The move ends more than 170 years of ownership for the Herdman family.

The mill ceased spinning linen in 2004. It had been hoped to redevelop the 60-acre site which dominates the County Tyrone village.

The family said the receivership was "a sad day" but they were hopeful someone else could develop the site.
