Fire crews have been tackling a major blaze that broke out above an Indian restaurant in Fife on Friday.

The alarm was raised at about 18:10 after smoke was seen coming from the Khushi's restaurant building on Canmore Street, Dunfermline.

Flames could be seen ripping through the top floor and roof of the property. There were no reported injuries.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews were still on the scene at 09:30 on Saturday.

However they had started dampening down procedures - which prevents the fire from reigniting.

Surrounding streets were cordoned off by police.
