Pedestrian dies after being hit by lorry in Edinburgh
A 62-year-old pedestrian has died in Edinburgh after being hit by a lorry.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which happened about 13:05 on Tuesday at Gorgie Road.
Police Scotland has asked for anyone who was in the Gorgie Road or Calder Road area around the time of the crash to contact them.
Sgt Jill Kirkpatrick, from the Edinburgh Road Policing Unit, said "our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the man who died".
