Cyclist dies after crash with HGV in Glasgow city centre
A cyclist has died following a road crash with an HGV in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services, including firefighters and several ambulance crews, were called to the scene at the Riverboat Casino on Broomielaw at about 10:10.
Police cordoned off the area and closed the road.
The cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said inquiries into the full circumstances were being carried out.
