Glasgow properties evacuated after possible explosive found
Properties in the south of Glasgow have been evacuated after a possible explosive was found.
Police urged people to avoid Househillmuir Road between number 386 and the junction with Dunside Drive at about 13:15.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) crew attended and the item was removed
The area was closed for investigations but reopened at about 14:50. Police said there was no ongoing risk to the public.
Residents were advised they could return to their properties.
Earlier a spokesperson for the force said the item was a "possible ordnance" the evacuation was carried out "as a precaution".
