Man, 71, dies after fire at Glasgow flat
A 71-year-old man has died after a fire at a block of flats in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Ascot Court in Anniesland at about 18:20 on Thursday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three appliances to tackle the fire, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Area commander David Murdoch said: "Our thoughts are very much with his family, friends and all of those affected at this difficult time."
Police Scotland said the man's next of kin have been made aware. A joint police and fire service investigation is ongoing.
