Body of 22-year-old man found at Skye Fairy Pools
The body of a 22-year-old man has been found at Skye's Fairy Pools after he fell into the water on Thursday.
Police said the discovery was made near Carbost at about 12:10 on Friday.
The alarm was raised at about 15:00 on Thursday. Coastguard and ambulance helicopters and Skye Mountain Rescue Team were involved in the search.
Road closures around the search site - an area of waterfalls, streams and pools popular with tourists - have been lifted.
Police said the man's family had been informed of the discovery.
Kate Forbes, SNP MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch, said news of the death was "extremely sad".
She added: "My thoughts are with his family. I'd also like to commend the emergency services for all their work over the last few hours in difficult circumstances."
