Prince William and Kate visit Moray and Inverness

William and Catherine took up an offer from the charity to ride mountain bikes

The Prince and Princess of Wales have been in Scotland to visiting organisations that offer support to young people.

They began their tour at Burghead Primary School in Moray where they met organisers of outdoor activities charity Outfit Moray.

The prince and princess, known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, took up an offer from the charity to ride mountain bikes over obstacles, and the princess consoled one young cyclist who fell off their bike during the visit.

While in Moray, William and Catherine went to family-run Brodieshill Farm, near Forres, where they met young farmers and also families of service personnel based at military bases in Lossiemouth and Kinloss.

The Royal visit finished in Inverness.

In the Highland capital, William and Kate visited the Day1 charity which provides mentoring, training and jobs advice to vulnerable young people.

The charity also owns and runs the social enterprise, Inverness Kart Raceway, which offers a car mechanics apprenticeship scheme.

The prince and princess met young people at two workshops, and watched a group racing on the track.
