Teenager charged in Alness after police officer murder bid
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of police officer in a Highland town.
Police Scotland said the alleged incident happened on High Street, Alness, at about 01:00 on Monday.
The male officer was not injured.
A force spokesperson said the teenager was due to appear before Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
