Two climbers complete 'unclimbed' Nanga Parbat Himalayas route
- Published
Two climbers have successfully completed what has been described as the last great unclimbed route in the Himalayas.
Rick Allen, from Aberdeen, and Sandy Allan, from Newtonmore, ascended the peak of Nanga Parbat in Pakistan via the Mazeno Ridge.
They reached the summit on Sunday, and have now made it back to base camp.
Nanga Parbat is sometimes called the "Killer Mountain" because of the dangers it poses to climbers.
