A gritter lorry overturned after hitting iced floodwater on a road in Aberdeenshire.
The accident happened in the Hatton of Fintray area at about 06:30.
"Our gritting crews were out across Aberdeenshire, sadly an experienced gritter driver hit a patch of iced floodwater and overturned," an Aberdeenshire Council statement said.
The driver was understood to have suffered bruising and was shaken but escaped serious injury.
"It sharply emphasises the dangers our crews face tackling such conditions and we would urge motorists to take extreme care if you are venturing onto the network," the local authority added.
