Business technology solutions firm Amor Group has secured another major airport contract.

Norwegian airport operator Avinor is to install Glasgow-based Amor's Chroma technology platform to centralise core operational systems across 45 airports.

The Chroma airport suite brings together monitoring systems for operations such as flight information and passenger movement.

Last year, Amor supplied Milan Malpensa with a passenger tracking system.

The value of the latest deal has not been released.

Amor said its suite would allow Avinor to have a real-time view of all aspects of its airports.

Amor Group transport sector director Martin Bowman said: "The pioneering new system will provide a consolidated, scalable and fully functional operational system to all of Avinor's airports, regardless of size."

'Accurate overview'

Avinor chief information officer Tore Weum said his company had wanted to standardise, simplify and achieve greater operational efficiencies across its network of airports.

"This approach with Amor Group delivers that," he said. "It ensures we have an accurate overview of our entire operation and allows us to continue improving the experience for both our passengers and airlines."

In July 2012, Amor supplied Milan Malpensa operator SEA with a Bluetooth queue measurement system.

It automatically monitors and measures airport journey and queuing times by tracking passengers' Bluetooth mobile phone signals.

The company claimed it was the first Bluetooth system of its kind to be adopted in Italy.
