Norovirus sees NHS Tayside close three hospital wards
Wards have been closed at hospitals in Dundee and Perth following several cases of norovirus.
Ward 7 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Ward 6 at Ninewells Hospital and Ward 3 at Perth Royal Infirmary have been closed to new admissions following reports of vomiting and diarrhoea.
NHS Tayside said infection control measures had been put in place.
Meanwhile, Ward 3 at Ninewells has been reopened to new admissions after an earlier outbreak of the bug.
The health board said the wards had been closed to new patients as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the virus.
NHS Tayside asked anyone who might be feeling unwell or experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea not to visit friends and family members at the three hospitals for at least 48 hours after they are free of all symptoms.
